Description

The hotel's architectural motifs and interior decoration remind of the beautiful seaside province of Spain. The hotel was built and owned by José Cabrero Mier, a native of Santander and served as headquarters for important ship owners from this city, such as the Count de la Mortera, whose fleet of ships operated in the Antilles. The hotel is a unique opportunity to stay at the city's seaside gateway. This 3-storey air-conditioned hotel comprises a total of 32 rooms of which 1 is a junior suite, 1 is a suite and 1 room offers disabled access. Amongst the facilities count a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange desk, a cloakroom and a lift in addition to the Cantabria Restaurant offering specialities from that region as well as an array of international dishes. Further hotel amenities include a bar, public Internet access (fees apply), room and laundry services (charges payable) and a kids' club. Fees apply for use of the car park.

Location

This breathtaking hotel is located on Havana's Avenida del Puerto within 500 m of the Museo del Ron, the Plaza del San Francisco and the Plaza Vieja. It is just a stone's throw to links to the public transport network.

Rooms

The rooms are an ideal place for guests to enjoy the refreshing sea breeze, while the terrace and balconies offer a great vantage point for watching in-coming and departing ships. A total of 30 standard rooms are available of which 10 have matrimonial beds, 20 have twin beds and 13 are double rooms that may also be used as triples. The rooms, junior suites and suites all come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a minibar, a hire safe and centrally controlled air conditioning.

Leisure options include a Jacuzzi and a solarium. It is 150 m to the nearest golf course.

Meals

Guests may select their breakfast from an ample buffet; lunch and the evening meal may be taken à la carte whilst the midday meal may also be chosen from a menu. It is possible to book a bed and breakfast only or a half-board stay.
