C and A Apartments - Polis in Polis

I have been asked, by Chris Neophytou to write up the narrative on the apartments etc as he suffers from Freidriechs Ataxia and has been confined to a wheelchair for the last 19 years. I really don’t know where to begin, because he and his family offer so much. You must visit the websites. Sian .

We now offer heating in the cooler months of November through to March the pool will be kept at a warmer temperature which is more suitable for the less able bodied.

Breakfast, home made dinners are served. Halfboard is offered as well.

Food and beverage

We also have our own family run restaurant on site and we offer breakfast and dinner buffet. One can experience a barbeque evening prepared by the family. Various meal/room packages are also available on request. C&A has its own secluded garden/pool and bar.

Rooms

This complex comprises of 1 three bedroom apartment, 2 two bedroom apartments, 8 one bedroom apartments and 10 studios. They all wheelchair accessible with level entry roll in showers, pull down seat on the wall with grab rails and grab rails by the toilet. The first floor three bedroom pool facing apartment is accessed by lift (80cm door). Two bathrooms with roll-in showers pull down seat and grab rails at the shower and toilet. Large lounge equipped with TV and air-conditioning (extra charge), a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher, this apartment can sleep a maximum of 6 people. The one and two bedroom apartments have level entry roll in showers in the bathroom with pull down shower seats and grab rails at both the shower and toilet. The bedroom has twin beds and a sofa bed in the lounge to comfortably sleep a maximum of 3 people in a 1 bedroom and 5 in a 2 bedroom apartment. There are 10 accessible studios available, these are adapted to ensure comfort and manoeuvrability for anyone in a wheelchair and can comfortably sleep 2 people. Features are the same with a wheel-in shower with a shower chair, grab rails by shower and WC.

C & A has a swimming pool which is accessible with a hoist, and has large steps with a rail. Sunbeds with raised mattresses for easier transferring are available. The pool is heated during winter months.

We are a short stroll to the local beach/beach bar, and a longer walk away on the totally accessible walkway, to the fishing harbour of Latchi. Polis has its own A & E hospital department nearby. Wireless Internet connection is available for those wishing to bring their laptop with them.

Well lit, underground parking bays are available as is a lift to take you to your required floor level. Central heating is installed in each studio/apartment as well as air conditioning (paid locally). There are TVs installed in each room. Transfers and excursions.

C & A have their own accessible mini buses for airport transfers or excursions around the beautiful island. These mini buses are on site and may only be driven by professional locally licensed drivers. Access into the minibuses for wheelchair, electric or manual or by power scooter is by a Ricon electric tail lift and wheelchairs are fastened with the latest clamping technology.

Equipment hire

One can hire a mobility scooter, power wheelchair, manual wheelchair, profile beds, electric hoists, commodes, bed levers etc. All can be hired reasonably from Chris. Pre booking is essential.
