Description

This 6-storey, 88-room hotel is fully air-conditioned and provides a comfortable stay for travellers on a tight budget. Guests are welcomed into the hotel's lobby, which features a 24-hour reception, hotel safe and lift access to all of the guest rooms. Laundry service is provided (fees apply) and parking facilities are available for guests arriving by car (fees apply).

Location

This hotel is centrally located along Middle Road. It is a 10-minute walk from Bugis MRT Station, the new Singapore Management University, the National Library and the Singapore Art Museum. Shaw Towers, a shopping and cinema complex, is also 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. Visitors can catch performances by local and international acts at the Esplanade, theatres on the bay or at Fort Canning Park, which play host to cultural and musical events throughout the year and are a mere 10-minute drive from the hotel. For shopping enthusiasts, the shopping centres on Orchard Road, as well as Raffles City Shopping Mall and Marina Bay, are all a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Rooms

Standard rooms are clean and feature a queen-sized bed, but do not have a wardrobe. Owing to space restrictions no additional beds can be provided. En suite bathrooms come with a shower and heater as standard. In-room amenities include individually adjustable air conditioning, a wall-mounted satellite/cable TV, direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. High-speed Internet access (fees apply) is also available in all rooms. Ironing facilities are available on request. Non-smoking rooms as well as rooms with bathroom facilities for disabled people are also available on request.

Meals

Although there is no café on site, there is a whole host of food and drink establishments offering a wide variety of local and international cuisine just 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. The roti prata (an Indian pancake with spicy curry sauce) stall on Bencoolen Street is legendary among backpackers, and drinking holes and nightspots, such as the Mohammed Sultan stretch, Chjimes, Boat Quay and Clarke Quay, can be reached by MRT (underground subway), buses or taxis.
