Sixteenth century hotel with 4 specifically designed accessible wheelchair rooms.
4 specifically designed accessible wheelchair rooms, have been built in the pretty walled garden, with all the facilities available for those less able including wheel-in showers, grab rails, adjustable shower seats. The “wet floor” showers were specially designed by Pressalit, a Danish Company, to the very highest standards. All the accessible rooms alternate as to which is the favored hand for ‘transfer’.
Rooms 20 and 21 are interconnecting and can therefore be used easily by families or those that require a carer in an adjoining room. All accessible rooms have an emergency phone to contact staff 24 hours a day should the need arise, pendants and or bracelets can be supplied for use in the shower only 'wet rooms'.
Room 20 Has a Zip-linked bed consisting of two 3 foot singles, these can be separated for twin use but cannot fit a hoist underneath them, and has a support arm to the right-hand side of the toilet. This room has a sink that features an electronic height adjustment
Room 21 Has a Zip-linked bed consisting of two 3 foot singles, these can be separated for twin use and has space underneath to take a hoist, and has a support arm to the left-hand side of the toilet. This room has a sink that features an electronic height adjustment.
The garden area adjacent to the Dacombe rooms has a specially designed table that can take 9 people with access for 3 wheelchairs.
All rooms have TV/DVD, tea and coffee facilities, access via illuminated ramps to and from the hotel. Designated parking and wheelchair access to the hotel, restaurant, bar and toilets.
