There are two bedrooms separated by a hallway and a bathroom. It has a small kitchen (not accessible) and a large dining/living room. There is a back courtyard, a sizeable side pathway and a front patio.
The villa has a 26" flatscreen HD TV showing satellite TV programmes from the UK, a DVD player, cable broadband internet access, and all kitchen comforts you would expect to find in a home.
Southern Spain gets extremely hot in June, July and August and with constant blue skies you are almost guaranteed a holiday in the hot sun. This Villa has been modified by 2 people with ataxia who have a combined experience of over 40 years of living life from a wheelchair.

The gas heater is free for you to use but unless you stay in December, January, February or March you will not need to use it.
There is a patient turner in the villa. This can be used to transfer a disabled person to a bed, the toilet or the sofa as required.
The Etac Patient Turner is a simple to use, practical aid to assist in the transfer from one seated position to another. It is designed for patients with a moderate degree of strength in both arms and legs. Height adjustable handle and independent,height adjustable knee supports.Handle height: 890mm (35") to 1260mm (49"). Weight: 15kg (21/22st).
Room descriptions and facilities:
Lounge with tv, dvd, cd player and english tv channels via a satellite dish. Also broadband internet access is available in this room (via cable connection).
Unfortunately the kitchen is not accessible for a wheelchair user.
The bathroom has a roll in shower, plenty of rails by toilet and shower and a accessible sink.
The disabled back bedroom has an adjustable bed with remote, floor to ceiling pole & non-slip mat. It also has a fold up bed.
The Mazarron Country Club has a bar/restaurant, a lounge, an outdoor swimming pool in beutiful spacious surroundings but to buy fresh food you'll have to drive 10 minutes into Mazarron or Puerto de Mazarron.
Chemist: If you require any medication there is a pharmacy (fwmacia) on the approach to Playasol 2 and you will find that they are able to dispense more medicines than you can get over the counter in England.
Puerto de Mazarron Shopping : This provides for holiday essentials as well as gifts and souvenirs. Those wishing for a wider choice of goods can take a bus to Cartagena [access not known] where you will find a wide range of shops from department stores to specialist shops and designer boutiques. The city also has a fairly new shopping mall, Parque Mediterraneo, on the outskirts of the town where there are many of the multinational fashion chains and well known High Street stores. The old town in Cartagena has many quaint tourist shops where you can buy the usual gifts and souvenirs. Popular purchases include leather goods, pottery, embroidered linens and lace, as well as basket ware and jewellery.
