Windrush Barn has been converted to a high standard specifically for people with disabilities and their families or carers. It can accommodate up to 12 people although smaller groups can still feel comfortable due to the flexible layout.

The barn is a peaceful sanctuary where it is easy to relax and unwind. It is well equipped with a games room; plenty of books, games, table tennis, hi-fi system and CDs, and Digital TV and DVD provided.

The farm is home to various animals and poultry which provide constant entertainment!

Fresh hen eggs and home grown vegetables / salad crops available when in season.

Room Amenities

Most of the living space is on the first floor benefiting from stunning views. The access from the courtyard is level and ramped with disabled parking near by. The barn has a wheelchair accessible lift, one wheel-in shower, one level access shower, one wheelchair accessible en-suite bathroom with hoist,grab rails in all shower and toilet areas, and an electric bed with tempur mattress and manual shower chair.

Area Information

Manor Farm is a smallholding situated on the unspoilt West Cumbrian coast between the sea and the slopes of Black Coombe. It is surrounded by farmland, wildlife and beautiful safe beaches within 10 minutes drive. Millom the nearest town is only 2.5 miles away and has all the necessary facilities including a railway station.

Coniston; Wastwater; Ravenglass with its famous narrow gauge railway; Muncaster Castle, home of The World Owl Centre; South Lakes Wild Animal Park ; and Ulverston, home of Stan Laurel are all within easy reach.
