Description
There are lovely riverside walks from the doorstep with abundant birds and other wildlife to spot. There are many quiet roads ideal for cycling, and excellent wildfowl salt-marshes surrounding Caerlaverock Castle, 3 miles away.
A cottage with magnificent views over the Solway Estuary from one side. Ramp to entrance. Large living room with wood-burning stove and patio doors to garden. Well-equipped fitted kitchen/dining room. Utility. Two twin bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room and toilet and one with en-suite wet room and toilet equipped for disabled. Double bedroom with 5ft bed and en-suite bathroom with shower cubicle and toilet. Separate toilet.
The Cottage was an original fisherman’s cottage dating back to 1700 and a member of the family that lived at the property was the stone mason for the farm estate, and cut stone for the owner’s own farmhouse.
