Description

This lovingly restored single-storey former farm building is full of character and has bags of charm.
The cottage has a wealth of accessible features, including lowered light switches, electrical sockets and accessible kitchen appliances. The living/dining room is cosy and the shower room is wet-room style. There’s even a therapy room next door!

There is an indoor heated splash pool which is exclusively for guests use only. The pool can be booked with preffered times so that it doesn't have to be shared with the other properties on site and can be used to enjoy complete privacy. The pool with wide steps and handrails for easy access, a pool hoist for the less-able (for use with guests’ own sling/harness) and a pool seating area. The pool is open from April to October.
Within the same courtyard setting, and in addition to the 3 cottages, are 2 non adapted one-bedroom apartments, ideal for family members who prefer their own space but do not require any adaptations.
Using these 2 apartments in addition to the 3 cottages gives the opportunity to accommodate up to 17 guests. Ideal for that special family holiday.
Superfast Broadband WiFi is available free of charge.
Extra mobility equipment available on request only and subject to availability : x1 airflow mattress, x1 cricket aid, Oxford Switch stand aid Oxford Advance mobile hoists (please bring your own sling/harness) wheeled shower chairs, shower-chair commode, high back chairs with arms, bed height raisers, toilet seat raisers, a pouf-footrest, kitchen perching stool and child’s step-stool. Smaller items include a pick-up reacher/grabber, magnifier, and a shoe-horn in each cottage.

Area information
This cottage is in the hamlet of Woolland. Woolland is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the heart of the North Dorset countryside, with its gentle rolling downland, woodlands and nature reserves. Within this rich tapestry are many winding lanes, bridle paths, sleepy villages, shimmering rivers and streams, an abundance of wildlife and spectacular views.
Within easy reach is Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, England’s first natural World Heritage Site, and the Isle of Purbeck.
For Thomas Hardy enthusiasts there is his place of birth and many literary locations to visit. Attractions for children are plentiful and include CoolPlay, a wonderful local play centre, The Royal Signals Museum, Dorset Heavy Horse Centre & Farm Park and Monkey World.
Good food is a priority in Dorset and delicious locally produced quality food can be found at farmers’ markets, farm shops and in restaurants and pubs.
